Why Us?

Our Story
I get it. You have one million photographers to choose from and truly, I think that's great. All of that choice means you get to hand-pick the perfect person for you. So here's what I want you to consider when you're selecting your photographer: style, vibe & values.

Style. If you look at each photographer portfolio you will see various different styles. Some photographers photograph light/airy, others dark/edgy. I would describe my editing style as high-contrast and vibrant. Also look at their style of photography. Do they do studio-work? Is it documentary style? I do a mix of lifestyle (natural photography) and guided poses. If someone told me to just act natural, it would be the most uncomfortable thing. I want someone to tell me what looks good.

Vibe. It's important that you vibe with your photographer. You want to be comfortable around the person taking your photos because that is how you will get the best images. People who are having fun exude joy in images. I know photos can be nerve-wracking, but when you find the right photographer, you never have to worry. I'm loud and silly and I pull people out of their comfort zones create lasting friendships with my clients.

Values. I got into photography because I wanted beautiful photos of my family. I quickly realized that as a mom, if I didn't ask for photos to be taken, I wasn't getting them. And if I did ask, they often left me feeling terrible about myself. I've been newly postpartum. I've hated my postpartum body. I have been in the space where I didn't want to take photos with my kids because I hate how I looked. But once I realized that with the right angles and poses, I was so happy to be in the photos. I also realized that my kids think I'm pretty great. Exactly as I am. And that I should invest in photos with me in them because no matter how I feel, my kids will be happy to have them.

So no, I'm not the photographer for everyone. But hopefully, if you've gotten this far. We seem to like the same things & hopefully in the near future I'll have the opportunity to photograph you and your family.
